Heating & Air Conditioning in San Francisco

Heating and cooling is the core of what we do. We install, repair and replace furnaces, air conditioning, heat pumps and mini-split systems, and we will tell you plainly when a repair is the better call than a replacement, and when it is not.

Repair or replace?

We get called out to repair equipment that is genuinely worth repairing, and we say so. We also say so when it is not. One of our clients called us out to fix a furnace and we recommended replacing it instead, because at its age the repair would not have lasted. Either way you get the reasoning behind the number.

Common questions

Which HVAC brands do you install?

Fujitsu, Lennox, Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric on the residential side; Carrier, Goodman and York for commercial and higher-capacity work. We size and quote equipment to the job rather than pushing one line.

Is a mini-split right for my place?

Often, in San Francisco. A lot of the housing stock here has no ductwork, and retrofitting ducts into a Victorian or an older apartment is invasive and expensive. A ductless mini-split avoids that entirely and lets you condition rooms independently.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. We come out, look at the actual job, and quote it. That free visit is how we price everything. Pricing a job properly usually means seeing it, which is why we do not give firm numbers over the phone.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. California contractor license #1132115. You can look it up on the CSLB website with that number.

Do you cover my area?

We work across San Francisco, the Peninsula and the East Bay. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask. The answer is usually yes.

Need heating & air conditioning?

Call and describe the job, or send a few details and we will come out and price it.
