How we quote

Sized by looking at the property itself

Two apartments the same size can need very different systems. We work it out on site.

01

We come out

Free visit. We look at the space, the existing equipment, and what is actually feasible to install.

02

We size it

Insulation, window area, ceiling height and layout. Oversizing a system is as much of a problem as undersizing it.

03

We quote it

Equipment and installation together, with the reasoning, so you can compare it against anything else you have been given.

Questions about equipment

Do you only install these brands?

These are the lines we work with most and can quote confidently. If you have a preference or you are matching existing equipment, tell us when we come out. We size and quote to the job rather than pushing one manufacturer.

How do you decide what size system I need?

By looking at the actual property. Square footage alone is a poor guide in San Francisco housing stock: insulation, window area, ceiling height and how the place is laid out all change the answer. Oversizing is as much of a problem as undersizing.

Is a ductless mini-split better than a central system?

For a lot of homes here, yes. Much of the housing stock has no ductwork, and retrofitting it into an older building is invasive and expensive. Mini-splits avoid that and let you condition rooms independently. Where ducts already exist, a central system may well win.

Can you service equipment you did not install?

Yes. Call and tell us what you have and what it is doing.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. We come out, look at the property, and quote the equipment and the install together. That free visit is how we price everything.

Not sure what you need?

That is what the free visit is for. Call (650) 713-7516 and describe what you have.
