Is my piece worth restoring?
Send us photos or bring it by and we will tell you honestly. Sentimental value is a perfectly good reason to restore something that is not otherwise valuable, but you should know what the work involves before you commit to it.
How long does a restoration take?
It depends entirely on the piece and what is wrong with it. Stripping and refinishing a tabletop is not the same job as rebuilding the joints on a chair. We will give you a timeframe with the quote.
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. We come out, look at the actual job, and quote it. That free visit is how we price everything. Pricing a job properly usually means seeing it, which is why we do not give firm numbers over the phone.
Do you cover my area?
We work across San Francisco, the Peninsula and the East Bay. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask. The answer is usually yes.
