Kitchen & Bath Remodeling
Kitchen Remodeling in San Francisco
A kitchen touches demolition, framing, plumbing, electrical, tile, drywall and paint. Every gap between those trades is a week of your life, which is why we run the whole thing as one contract.
What the job involves
The work
- Demolition and disposal
- Layout changes and wall removal
- Plumbing relocation and rough-in
- Electrical, lighting and appliance circuits
- Cabinetry and countertop installation
- Tile, flooring, trim and paint
Working around the house
- Dust protection and site containment
- Staged so the space is usable as long as possible
- Daily clean-down rather than one clean at the end
- Final walkthrough before we call it finished
In an apartment, access is half the schedule
Most San Francisco kitchens are up a flight of stairs with no driveway and a shared entry. Getting cabinets in and a dumpster's worth of demolition out is a real part of the job here, and it is better priced at the quote than discovered in week two.
Common questions
Can we stay in the house during the work?
Almost always. We stage the work so you keep a functioning space as long as possible, contain the dust, and clean down at the end of each day rather than at the end of the job.
Do you work from a designer's plans?
Either way. We build from plans, and we also do design build where the design and the construction sit in one contract instead of two.
Can you handle a job that crosses trades?
That is the main reason to call us. A bathroom remodel touches plumbing, electrical, tile, drywall and paint, and we cover all of it, so you are not coordinating four contractors and absorbing the gaps between them.
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. We come out, look at the actual job, and quote it. That free visit is how we price everything. Pricing a job properly usually means seeing it, which is why we do not give firm numbers over the phone.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. California contractor license #1132115. You can look it up on the CSLB website with that number.
