Lighting Installation in San Francisco

Lighting is the cheapest change that makes a finished room look finished, and the one most often left until last. We handle the wiring and the placement, where fixtures go and how a room is actually lit, as well as whether the circuit holds.

What the job involves

Interior

  • Recessed and track lighting
  • Pendant and fixture installation
  • Ceiling fans
  • Dimmers and switching
  • Under-cabinet and task lighting

Exterior

  • Entry, path and step lighting
  • Deck and patio lighting
  • Low-voltage landscape runs
  • Security and motion lighting

Do it while the walls are open

Running new circuits and moving fixtures is cheap while a wall is open and expensive once it is closed. If lighting is any part of what you want from a remodel, it is worth deciding early. We would rather plan it with you at the quote than chase it afterwards.

Common questions

Can you add recessed lighting to a finished ceiling?

Usually, yes. It depends what is above it. On older properties there is often less room and more surprises up there than in newer construction, which is why we look before we price it.

Can you do this as part of a remodel?

Yes, and it is the right time. If we are already doing the remodel, the electrical is part of the same scope and the same quote.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. We come out, look at the actual job, and quote it. That free visit is how we price everything. Pricing a job properly usually means seeing it, which is why we do not give firm numbers over the phone.

Can you handle a job that crosses trades?

That is the main reason to call us. A bathroom remodel touches plumbing, electrical, tile, drywall and paint, and we cover all of it, so you are not coordinating four contractors and absorbing the gaps between them.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. California contractor license #1132115. You can look it up on the CSLB website with that number.
